HOME

Originally intended to be a residential community for Academy staff and retirees, Gleneagle, with its views of Pikes Peak and the Rampart Range, is growing into a thriving community with shopping, restaurants and other services to area residents. Since the mid-1980s, many of the open spaces are being replaced with up-scale housing developments offering newcomers amenities such as excellent golf courses, parks and trails that complement its rural setting.

Located in Gleneagle is the Western Museum of Mining and Industry. This fascinating museum provides educational tours with an emphasis on the technological history of metal mining and metallurgy, as well as the social history of the American Mining West. Exhibits include mining equipment and artifacts that recreate the area’s mining history.
